Welcome to My "Hope Raising" Page
I am "Hope Raising" for the National Scleroderma Foundation to help those whose lives have been affected by this disease, I need your support!
I will be running the Marine Corps Marathon in October in memory of my late sister in law. She passed away in 2019 from scleroderma after battling the disease for many years. Starting with unrelenting itching, it progressed to the inability to use her hands, requiring a surgery to fuse 1 hand into a useable position. The disease progressed to her havinng great difficulty while swallowing, inability to use her hands and was dependent for all her care. She was 60 years old. My brother was her rock and cared for her throughout her illness.
The worst part is there was nothing to be done, there was very little offered in the way of treatment. Most of the care she recieved was based on research she did and strongly advocating for herself.
I will be running because I feel it is important to raise awareness and funds for research. My goal is not only to raise funds for research but also to raise awareness about this disease. My goal is to raise 10,000 dollars. Please help me reach this goal by donating to my Hope Raising page. Every dollar helps.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
I appreciate every dollar that is donated for Scleroderma research. I am starting my training and will provise updates as the day gets closer.
All contributions are for the National Scleroderma Foundation to use to help find a cure for those whose lives have been affected by scleroderma.
