To all my wonderful family and friends,
As we move towards putting the pandemic behind us, I hope you are safe and doing well. The past year has undoubtedly been challenging for all and I hope we have brighter days ahead. With this in mind, I felt that now is a good time for me to, once again, connect with my scleroderma community. And so, I will be participating in this year's virtual Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Walk. I am reaching out to you to ask for your support in raising funds and awareness to combat Scleroderma- the autoimmune disease I have lived with since 2003.
This years walk will be a virtual event- held on June 26th. You can access it on Facebook and YouTube. It promises to be informative and entertaining, and is a key opportunity to raise awareness and funds. I hope you will be able to view some of it.
This year I've been faced with numerous challenges- primarily GI and pancreas issues. Additionally, I still suffer from Raynauds Syndrome- an inability to tolerate the cold (or anything below 90 degrees to be more specific!!) and overwhelming fatigue constantly plagues me. I am feeling as if the word chronic in "chronic disease" has taken up residence in my body- constantly present and always demanding attention.
So now, I am asking all of you to please support me in this years Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Walk. Please give what you can- any amount is appreciated. And please spread the word- share this link with your friends, families, and others who could join us in this fight against Scleroderma. The money we raise goes towards Research, Education/Awareness, and Support (let's find a cure!!). The gift you give can bring us one step closer to finding a cure for Scleroderma!
You can donate online by clicking the "Donate Now" button that appears under my photo.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!- ♥ Adriane ♥
