I was 19 years old when I learned what the word Scleroderma meant. That one word changed my entire life! Scleroderma has forced me to look at myself and decide what kind of person I want to be. From day one of my diagnosis I chose to FIGHT! I was not going to let this disease with no cure take away my ability to live the life I choose to. Now 20 years later I am still fighting everyday for my journey and now for the journey of so many other young adult patients like myself, who just want to feel like their voices matter and what they are going through isn't something they are doing ALONE! That is a major reason why I fundraise every year with the Stepping Out To Cure Scleroderma Walk. The Walk allows the Scleroderma community to spread AWARENESS, to EDUCATE the public about what this disease is abd how each patient is affected, and it allows us to FUNDRAISE for RESEARCH which can hopefully one day bring about a cure. June 26, 2021 is one day out of your life to dive into what it's like living with scleroderma and to give hope to so many living with this disease. One day of your life to fight with the men, women, teens, abd kids that fight EVERYDAY of their lives to just survive. ONE DAY what will you do with it?
Help me bring more awareness to scleroderma so we can find a cure by donating NOW!
