I was told back then that I would not make it passed 5 year mark as my condition had deteriorated rapidly. Although I had many struggles, specially in the early years of my diagnosis, I have beaten those odds. That would not be true if not for my determination to live or the support of my family and friends and the amazing doctors and medical staff who cared for me. Scleroderma has taken many things from me, but not my determination to fight and help those like myself get through each and everyday until a cure can be found.
