Izzy was diagnosed with the Systemic form of Scleroderma back in 2016 at the age of a year and a half old. Systemic Scleroderma is a rare autoimmune disease that usually presents itself to women later in life. Being a pediatric patient has presented us with many hurdles we just shouldn't have. With little funding from the government for research our options are limited for treatment as many doctors don't understand how to help with symptoms or slow down the damage this disease causes to the organs. She's been so brave thru every symptom that's shown up. While we do know that this disease is terminal we're hopeful for more funding to help us find a cure for Izzy. 

​This year, Izzy wanted to do the walk to help raise awareness and funding to help us find a cure for her. She has a personal goal to raise $200 herself and a team goal to raise $1,000 collectively. She is very excited and looking forward to helping fund a cure.
