I have had limited systemic scleroderma (CREST syndrome) for probably 20 years now. It is a little-known autoimmune disease that doesn't get much attention. For me, the main presentation is Raynaud's disease, reflux, and calcium deposits pretty much all over my body. I am on meds for Raynaud's and reflux. However, when the calcium deposits cause too much pain or impede my range of motion I do need surgery to relieve this. Thankfully, it has not affected my internal organs at this point!
