Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Denver Walk

Team Bobbie Jo

Thank you for visiting my Team Fundraising page to support the "Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma" event!

Bobbie Jo Sanchez was diagnosed with Scleroderma in 2004, which added to her diagnoses of Lupus, Pulmonary Hypertension and Pulmonary Fibrosis. She struggles daily with fatigue, but you would never know. It has been a long and hard journey but she credits her family, friends, and doctors here in Colorado for her success. Moving from NM to CO to be closer to her doctors was the best choice she made. The National Scleroderma Foudnation and its Rocky Mountain Chapter really helped her to find people to support and lean on in the new city.

The Foundation has a three-fold mission: To help patients and their families cope with scleroderma through mutual support programs, peer counseling, physician referrals, and educational information. Education to promote public awareness and education through patient and health professional seminars, literature, and publicity campaigns. And research to stimulate and support research to improve treatments and, ultimately, find the cause and cure of scleroderma and related diseases.
