Welcome to My Personal Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Page!
Thank you for visiting my personal fundraising page to support the 2023 Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma event! I am walking in honor of my good friend Gina.
Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease that affects the connective tissues of the body. Symptoms can vary between people, but common symptoms include hardening of the skin and internal organs, pulmonary hypertension, hair loss, stiffening of the joints and difficulty with mobility, sores, and more. There is currently no cure or scleroderma.
Gina and I have been close friends since 6th grade. She is the true definition of resilience. Gina was diagnosed in 2007 and has suffered for many years with this disease. I have never seen someone combat an illness the way Gina does. Despite losing her mobility, her independence, and her award-winning piano abilities, her sense of humor, kindness, and positive spirit have not wavered despite whatever curveball this disease has thrown at her. And there have been many curveballs. Check out our group below.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution and support me to help raise funds for scleroderma patients. To make a donation, click the "Donate Now" and complete the form.
If you would like to join me and help raise funds, please click on “Join My Team” and follow the directions. Don't see the Join button, let me know and we can create a team.
I sincerely appreciate your support; please share this with anyone who you think might want to help.
Help me bring more awareness to scleroderma so we can raise awareness and find a cure!
