Jamie's Krew is back....with the addition of Torey's Tribe!

I've been away for a few years, but I will once again be participating in a Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Walk. I will be walking for myself, as well as for my dear friend, Torey Butler, virtually with the Kansas City group on June 19th!

I was diagnosed with systemic scleroderma and myalgia in July 2011....I can't believe I've almost hit my 10 year anniversary! I have been an advocate for scleroderma since my diagnosis and participated in five Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma walks from 2012-2016. Jamie's Krew raised over $8,600 in that timeframe to help patients and their families with education and support groups, as well as public awareness, improve treatments and help fund research to some day discover the cause and find a cure. I started a support group in Kansas in 2014 and attended the National Conference in 2015.

Torey was diagnosed with systemic scleroderma in 2016 along with lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. She has also developed interstitial lung disease and is currently waiting to have the FIRST stem cell transplant for scleroderma at KU Med!
