Thank you for visiting my personal fundraising page to support the "Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma" event!

As many of you may not know, I suffer from Scleroderma along with many other auto immune diseases. This year my Scleroderma has been very active and caused many changes and complications to my life. I have recently learned that Scleroderma has no known cause or cure. To many people, I may look healthy or “not sick” on the outside but Scleroderma has prevented me from doing normal daily activities that the average healthy person takes for granted. I went from being a very healthy 18 year old playing college basketball to a 25 year old that can’t open my own drinks, operate a vehicle and much more. Luckily over the past year 3 years or so with the help of chemo therapy and IVIG Infusions I managed to find a temporary solution to slow down the progression of this disease. I've literally gone from needing help getting off the couch to getting up on my own. I can now walk miles when last year I couldnt walk far without being in pain and or out of breath. Slowly feel like myself well as myself as this disease will let me be. If you know me I rarely complain about my disability because honestly It could be so much worse! But I do think it's part of my responsibility to teach others about this disease and bring awareness not only to my family but the world.
This year I will be virtually participating in Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Walk and I am looking for donations of any amount to help raise money towards research for a disease that I personally am affected by every day. I appreciate your support. Team Thrifty Tee – Tiana Harris
