On Saturday, June 12, 2021, my team will be taking part in the Virtual Heartland Chapter Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Walk.  Even though we are not allowed to have an in-person event, we have not stopped searching for a cause, a cure, and better treatments for Scleroderma

I was diagnosed years 14 ago with Diffuse Systemic Scleroderma.  Scleroderma is a chronic connective tissue disease generally classified as an autoimmune disease. The word Scleroderma comes from two Greek words: sclero, meaning hard, and derma, meaning skin.  Hardening of the skin is one of the most visible manifestations of the disease.  Internal hardening can also occur in heart, lungs, kidneys, and digestive system.  We are still working to find a cure and to stop the progression of this devastating disease.  Funds that are raised at our event are used support those with Scleroderma, to educate others, and for research.

Please help by joining my team and making a donation.  Donating through this website is simple, fast, and totally secure.  It is the most efficient way to support my team's fundraising efforts.

If you would like to find out more about Scleroderma. please visit national.scleroderma.org.  Also, you can Like our Facebook page, Des Moines Scleroderma Support Group.

Thank you for visiting my team page and for your support.
