On Saturday, June 25, 2022, I will be taking part in the virtual Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Walk in Iowa.
I was diagnosed 15 years ago with Systemic Scleroderma. Scleroderma is a chronic connective tissue disease generally classified as an autoimmune disease. The word "Scleroderma" comes from two Greek words: "sclero" meaning hard, and "derma" meaning skin. Hardening of the skin is one of the most visible manifestations of the disease. Internal hardening can also occur in the heart, lungs, kidneys, and digestive system. I am still working to help find a cure and to stop the progression of this devastating disease. Funds that are raised at this event are used to support those with Scleroderma, to educate others, and for research.
Please help by supporting me, joining my team or by making a donation. Donating through this website is simple, fast, and totally secure. It is the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
