Dear Family and Friends:
In June of every year, the Scleroderma Foundation of Greater Chicago has its WALK in Highland Park, Illinois. With the COVID-19 environment, the walk was postponed for 2020 and 2021, and a virtual walk was chosen for each year. The WALK has been pushed back to August 21 (on a virtual basis).
Scleroderma is a serious disease, affecting over 400,000 persons in the United States. It is a systemic disease, affecting the autoimmune system, resulting in the hardening of the skin, as well as possible serious internal effects. Our daughter, Lisa, has a rare type affecting only a small portion of those affected, and, through medical research, she is showing progress.
We would like to ask you to make a contribution to the SCLERODERMA FOUNDATION OF GREATER CHICAGO, in honor of Lisa. This can be done by clicking “Donate Now” to donate (at the above left).
Please be as generous as you can, as funds are badly needed, especially in this COVID-19 environment. Any increase over last year, if applicable, will be greatly appreciated.
If you choose to send a check rather than using the internet, you can mail it to us at:
3653 Russett Lane, Northbrook, Illinois 60062
and we will forward it to the Scleroderma Foundation of Greater Chicago. You can choose to make your check donation “Anonymous” by letting us know. PLEASE do not send any checks to the National Scleroderma Foundation, as that will cause fundraising confusion.
Let us say “THANK YOU!” in advance. We’re counting on you!
Debbie & Gary Sylvan
