Portland Support Group Leader
Social Media Manager

Portland Support Group Leader: We are currently meeting online due to the pandemic, but this group typically meets in downtown Portland, six times a year. The support group leader will determine a topic, arrange occasional guest speakers, and facilitate the meetings. Materials and training are available!
Social Media Manager: We are looking for someone to manage the Oregon Chapter’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. This may include some content creation, promotion of events, and engaging with users.
Board Members:
- Plan and help with all aspects of events like our walks and educational seminars.
- Vote on decisions that need to be made about the chapter’s finances and activities.
- Brainstorm for ideas for our chapter - awareness, education, fundraising, etc.
- Elect board officers and appoint other non-board positions within the chapter.
- Communicate with and take direction from the national office, and stay up to date with their policies and procedures.
- Make sure everything we do supports the mission statement of the Scleroderma Foundation.
- Board meetings are held online on Zoom, so you do not need to live in the Portland area! No board experience is required - this would be a great entry-level opportunity. Board members do not need to have scleroderma, but must be willing to learn about the disease and the Scleroderma Foundation.
