So much fun!  The “Ugly Dress” theme is taken from the book, “If You Have to Wear an Ugly Dress, Learn to Accessorize – Guidance, Inspiration and Hope for Women with Lupus, Scleroderma and Other Autoimmune Illnesses” by Karen Kemper and Linda McNamara. 

Event will be held at Embassy Suites, 2700 Corporate Exchange Dr., Columbus, OH  43231.

Even though the name of the event is the Ugly Dress Gala, anyone with an ugly outfit item (shirt, pants, tie, etc.) can enter the ugly outfit contest!  In addition to the contest, we are also planning a silent auction, a live auction, a raffle, comedy, plated chicken or vegetarian dinner and many other highlights. 

The invited honorees of our Special Service Award at the gala are M. Bashar Kahaleh, MD from the University of Toledo Medical Center and Brenda Hoffman of Gilead Sciences.

The entertainer for 2018 is Dan Swartwout! Dan has been the warm-up act for CNBC's Mad Money, has been a guest on numerous television shows, and performed standup on an episode of HGTV’s House Hunters. Dan's CD, "100% Certified HPA," debuted in the Top 40 on the iTunes comedy charts.

The cost is $55.
