Cathy Little Community Health Coordinator Interdenominational Health Ministry Coalition (IHMC)

Cathy grew up in Rochester, NY with four sisters, two brothers and a host of foster care brothers and sisters. Her mother was and still is a caregiver. She is her mother’s child as she assumed the role as a caregiver when her mother-in-law’s Parkinson disease began to progress and now, she is the caregiver for her brother who is dealing with a stroke and dementia. Like many others that care for loved ones. Cathy has no formal training. She gets frustrated with the system and overwhelmed many days. She tries to operate from a place of compassion and ask God daily for guidance, wisdom, patience, peace and love. She has been married to her best friend for 35 years and they are the proud parents of two beautiful adult daughters and two amazing grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, adult coloring, cooking, baking, word search puzzles, reading, gardening, napping and some forms of exercise. She is a Servant Leader at heart and enjoys serving in her church and the community. One of her favorite scriptures that she meditates on as a caregiver is: Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Cathy is the Program Coordinator for the Interdenominational Health Ministry Coalition (IHMC) and the Baby Safe Sleep Coalition a program of the Jewish Family Service. Both jobs provide her the opportunity to help others in our community.

The Caregiver Support & Relationships Roundtable is to exchange information, ideas, and perspectives

about caregiver support and relationships. The event will include breakout sessions, an opportunity for patients, 

caregivers, and medical professionals to share information about what information or resources they would need as

caregivers.
